Rules

Only 100% electric cars are allowed to participate.
Traffic rules have to be followed.
Night driving is not recommended especially
not in Kazakhstan (bad roads).
No towing or transporting of the car in the direction of the aim is allowed, backward transportation in case of a technical problem is permitted.
In Category I – IV the vehicle has to drive itself the whole way on it’s own wheels.
Every 80edays tree has to be visited and a picture of the team beside of the tree has to be uploaded to the 80edays website.
Every team will get points for joining events and sympathy points from the audience.
Sponsors are welcome to award teams at the finish line.
Driving home is not allowed during the whole time of the event for any team starting in class A.
Any kind of announcement of personal records done in the frame of 80edays is not allowed.
The slowest charger has always priority in case of meeting at a charge point.
Teams can ask the stewards for rule exceptions.
Exception example: A team is not able to catch up and asks to make a short cut skipping obligatory stops.
The stewards have to be asked for rule exceptions or breaches.

Rule breaches:
The stewards decide if a team will be disqualified.
The first rule breach leads to a warning and can cause that the team will get a time penalty.
The second breach causes a time penalty.
The third breach leads to disqualification.
Disqualified teams will be deleted from the GPS tracking list so that fans won’t be able to follow them.
They are not allowed to join any following 80edays event.
